Being involved in the start-up of a challenger bank was one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences in my own development.

It wasn’t easy! What is fascinating is that the principles I learned can be applied to almost every start-up, fledgling company or business about to enter a growth phase.

The goal was to build a bank that was different and better. A new kind of bank. We wanted customers to love us – so we needed our people to love us too.

That meant getting the vision, values and purpose right from day one. That experience has made me passionate about creating the right cultural framework for growth.
