Without shared purpose your team may be good, but it will never be great – the success you seek will always be just out of your collective reach.

That’s why I love designing and delivering high-performing team programmes. It’s simple to understand but not easy to do. And when we crack the common purpose, performance soars. There’s nothing quite like that feeling.

So, what’s my approach? I always begin with diagnostic work, based on one-to-one and team sessions. That helps us establish where the team is right now. Then we work together to identify strengths and purpose. We test our findings in ‘real life’. Then we test again against the team’s deliverables –  making sure deliverables match up to purpose. Then we can move onto vision, where we create a compelling objective for the future.
